Pixelmator import shapes free download.Add a new shape
I found a shapes pack from many years ago that's a pxs file, but it doesn't seem to open or work with Pixelmator Pro. That, or I've not figured out how to import those shapes into the app. Anyway, is there a set of additional basic shapes somewhere, or is there a way to import these shapes from this old Pixelmator file? I'd appreciate the assistance. Mon Jan 14, am If you add that shape to a Pixelmator document PXM and open that document in Pixelmator Pro, you'll be able to save the shape to your Shapes palette in Pixelmator Pro and use it in the app, of course.

This is used in the eye default shape, where the iris is making the middle part transparent. I have also found that if I double-click that shape, I can move the rest of the eye, but the iris stays put, this results in a weird look to the eye.
So my question is, how do you add a shape and have it make another shape transparent in that particular shape? David, there are shape modes in the Tool Options bar. Those modes add, subtract, or intersect help you create the transparency in the middle of the shape.

I'm a software engineer but sometimes I need a tool that's better than something like Paint but not as fully featured or expensive as Photoshop, and this one was highly recommended.

David, there are shape modes in the Tool Options bar. Smart Shapes have green handles that let you quickly customize the appearance of the shape, for example, by adjusting the corner radius of a rounded rectangle, the number of points in a star, or the shape of an arrowhead. To customize a Smart Shape, simply drag one of its green handles.
Once you add a shape to the canvas, the options for its customization will appear in the Tool Options pane. Here, you can change the shape size and color, add shadows or strokes.
